Since 1956, the Middlebury Ski Club has been teaching young skiers to enjoy the sport of skiing and helping them excel in their efforts toward competitive success.

The Middlebury Ski club is a non-profit organization of families and friends with the common goal of promoting healthy activity through alpine skiing and of supporting and developing skiers and ski racers.

Our goal is to provide a fun and safe environment in which each of our youngsters can develop as people and achieve their personal skiing goals. To achieve this, the club focuses on developing strong fundamental skiing skills, understanding of the mind and body aspects of racing, promoting commitment, hard work, and sportsmanship.

As a club suited to racers 16 and younger, we emphasize fun and growth over strict competition.

Registration for Winter 2022-2023 will Open in September!

Middlebury Ski Club Alpine and USSA Racing Programs

We will be offering a Saturday program that will begin at 9am and run until 2:30pm. On Saturdays the athletes will be organized into groups and ski with a coach throughout the day. There will be a combination of drills and skills development exercises as well as time for the groups to explore and put their skills to use across the mountain.

In addition to the Saturday program, will also be offering a Sunday morning program from 9am to 11:30am. On Sundays the focus will be skills development and will primarily consist of athletes making laps through various training exercises. The coach, or coaches, will be providing instruction and feedback to athletes as they navigate the training venue, but the athletes will be skiing to the top and from the bottom of the venue independently.

We recognize that a 2-day program may sound overwhelming to some families. Please rest assured that although all athletes are welcome to attend either, or both, days, there are no requirements on which days athletes decide to attend. This is true throughout the season.

Our program is intended to serve both recreational and competitive athletes that are currently intermediate to advanced skiers from 6 to 16 years of age. Middlebury Ski Club athletes are motivated to develop strong fundamental skills to become better skiers, have fun, and ski a lot with professional coaches.

  • Fall Dryland Practice sessions (dates TBA)
  • Saturdays from 9am to 2:30pm
  • Sundays from 9am to 11:30am
  • December 18th through March 26th (weather permitting)
  • Ages 6 and up (see prerequisites)

Last season we were unable to provide race training services. This season we are happy to report that we will once again we able to support athletes interested in participating in US Ski and Snowboard races.
