Since 1956, the Middlebury Ski Club has been teaching young skiers to enjoy the sport of skiing and helping them excel in their efforts toward competitive success.

The Middlebury Ski club is a non-profit organization of families and friends with the common goal of promoting healthy activity through alpine skiing and of supporting and developing skiers and ski racers.

Our goal is to provide a fun and safe environment in which each of our youngsters can develop as people and achieve their personal skiing goals. To achieve this, the club focuses on developing strong fundamental skiing skills, understanding of the mind and body aspects of racing, promoting commitment, hard work, and sportsmanship.

As a club suited to racers 16 and younger, we emphasize fun and growth over strict competition.

Registration for Winter 2020-2021 is now open.

Middlebury Ski Club Alpine and USSA Racing Programs

This season will look a little different than previous seasons. The Middlebury Snow Bowl has published their COVID-19 Safety Guidelines that provide a framework for the operations of the mountain this winter.

With restrictions on access to the lodge, we will be offering a Saturday morning program with athletes finishing before lunch. Athletes will be required to complete a health screening survey each morning to participate and put all their outerwear on in their vehicle before proceeding to the meeting place to find their coach.

We try to achieve a balance between structured skills drills and unstructured free-skiing. With fewer hours on the hill this season, the balance will likely shift towards skills development activities.

Our program is intended to serve both non-competitive and competitive athletes that are currently intermediate to advanced skiers from 6 to 16 years of age. Middlebury Ski Club athletes a motivated to develop strong fundamental skills to become better skiers, have fun, and ski a lot with professional coaches. Programming will be broken out by designated USSA age groups.
